	Hej Hans & Band, You guys were great at the Tønder Festival and you really made my festival this year. I think it's fantastic that Hans treats his music with so much creativeness. I've seen Hans on many occasions and he always opens up new blues angles without ever neglecting the deep roots of his music. I love Bridges too - some very cool songs; the addition of the singers from Simbabwe is a real scope - beautiful voices and great movements. You guys seem to have so much fun when you're playing and singing together. I noticed that you had your own soundman - he does you proud. Thanks for a great musical experience once more. 	Hallo! Am 28.08. hatte ich mich für das Zelt 1 auf dem Tonder-Festival entschieden. Hauptsächlich wegen "The Great Big Sea". Und ich muss zu meiner Schande gestehen, dass ich einen Großteil Deines Auftrittes vor dem Zelt verbracht habe, weil mir ein Österreicher, der Blues auf einem Folkfestival singt, etwas suspekt vorkam. Erst gegen Ende des Sets gesellten wir uns wieder zum Rest des Publikums. Und da merkte ich, dass ich einen Fehler begangen hatte! Diese Stimme! Einfach perfekt für den Blues! Auf der Ceilidh am Sonntag hatte ich dann nochmal Gelgenheit etwas mitzubekommen. Inwischen besitze ich schon 2 CD's und höre gerade "Bridges". Einfach genial!!! Ich werde sicherlich nie wieder die Gelegenheit verpassen, Euch live spielen zu sehen - versprochen! Viele Grüße, Claus

	Your concerts at the Edmonton Folk Fest with Insingizi were fantastic. Less than 24 hours after the music stopped for this Folk Fest, I still hear your music in my head. I'm listening to the new album Bridges as I write this and will be sending off for a number of other disks shortly (including "Derroll Adams - Banjoman" which you talked about during your 'Influences' workshop). It's been 14 years since I first heard you at the Edmonton Folk Fest when you appeared with Jon Sass. It still puts a broad smile on my face when I think of the two of you doing "Johnny and the Devil". I hope to see and hear you again really soon!

	Hallo Hans & Band, Nachdem mich der Song Tears Are Rolling auf Terry Evans' CD Come to the River neugierig gemacht hatte, habe ich euch für mich entdeckt, und inzwischen sind die meisten euerer 90er-Jahre CDs auch in meiner Plattensammlung. Die neue CD 'Bridges' gefällt mir auch gut, besonders What Will the Children Play und der hidden track. Wie heißt der eigentlich? Down at the Station? Shotgun and a Jealous Man? Schade, daß ich grade nicht zuhause war, als Hans letztes Jahr in Weiden gespielt hat. Ich wäre gerne dabeigewesen, aber da ich in Köln studiere, ging das leider nicht. 	Hallo Hans! Wollt mich herzlich für die Antwort (E-Mail) und die zusätzlichen Infos bedanken. Die "Hard Road Blues" CD läuft bei mir zur Zeit im Auto, wie gesagt, die "Bridges" ist auch in meiner Sammlung und demnächst werde ich mir die "Songs from the Southlands" zulegen. Danke, ... und alles Gute! Hoffe, wenn ich das nächste Mal wieder in Wien bin, dass ich ein Konzert von Dir besuchen kann, würde mich sehr freuen! Das Publikum bei Elvis The Festival in der Wiener Stadthalle hat getobt, ... besonders bei dem Song "Maybelline" als Du die Saiten runter und raufgedreht hast. Die Version "Mystery Train" war auch der Hammer, bin ja auch ein großer Eric Clapton Fan und hab gleich gemerkt, dass Du "Mystery Train" zum Rhythmus von Eric Clapton´s "Rollin and Tumblin" gespielt hast, einfach erste Sahne. Die "Songs from the Southlands" hab ich mir natürlich schon angehört. Vortrefflich sind auch die Versionen "My Girl" (ursprünglich Nirvana) und "I´m So Lonesome I Could Cry", Elvis hat ja das Lied beim "Aloha Special - Aloha from Hawaii Via Satellite" 14. Jänner 1973 gesungen. Wie gesagt, die "Sounds of the Southlands" wird die nächste CD sein, die ich mir von Dir zulege.
