Enjoyed Tonder very much this year especially the unforgettable sessions with Donovan and yourself after the thunder and lightning put paid to the "official music" at the party--although the activities lasted much longer!!!!

| | I got a preview copy of this artists latest release as music reviewer for the Arkansas Blues Connection. My impression, damn right a Dutchman can play the blues. Not simply play them, but play them with verve and heart. I had my doubts, but not anymore. Look for his CD's, and buy them, hear him live if you get the chance, you will not regret it.

| | I bougt your record LIFELINE, and I must say I was surprised over the genuine feeling that goes trough the record. I listen to blues a lot and this record was something new that was added to my love for blues. To get a reel good feeling on a record with mostly a voice and a guitar is hard, but you did it and you did it good.

Nimmer had ik gehoord van Derroll Adams maar na de zeer uitgebreide kennismaking met de muziek van jou is het wel duidelijk dat Adams een grootheid was in de muziek. Ik kan mij inmiddels goed voorstellen dat vele muzikanten zich geinspireerd hebben gevoeld door Adams zijn muziek. Sterker ik kan mij voorstellen dat je als muzikant nog steeds door Adams beinvloed kan worden.
Na het vele malen beluisteren van "Banjoman - a tribute to Derroll Adams" realiseer ik mij wat een geweldig werk jij in gang hebt gezet door vele grootheden mee te laten werken aan deze CD. De CD spreekt zoveel liefde uit voor Adams en zijn muziek in het bijzonder waardoor het werkelijk een grootse hommage is geworden aan Adams. Zeker ook nog het prachtige boekje wat je geschreven hebt over Adams. Klasse!
Hans neem het Adams nummer '24 hours a day' ook op in jouw repertoire. Wat een geweldig nummer!
Ik wens je veel succes met deze CD, want dat verdient Adams echt! |

Ich werd´nicht viel sehen, aber dafür alles hören, weil ich für die Versorgung der Besucher mit Würsteln, Pommes und Langos zuständig bin (Catering) - vielleicht besuchst du mich ja in der pause bzw. während/vor des Soundchecks!? | | wir beschäftigen uns mit tierschutz, siehe homepage die ich gestaltet habe. deine musik wirkt sogar auf die tiere positiv. hab vor kurzem erst einen hund vom flughafen abgeholt um ihn zu einer operation zu bringen (bein musste amputiert werden), der hund war fertig vor schmerzen, habe die musik von dir eingeschaltet und der hund war beruhigt! nur ein kleines beispiel was deine musik bewirkt. weiterhin alles gute.

Mein Mann und ich, wir haben dich zum ersten Mal live auf der Donauinsel gesehen. Schade, dass du nicht am Ende der Veranstaltung spieltest, da hätten wir dich und deine Band länger hören können. Auf jeden Fall hat uns deine Musik sooo gut gefallen, das wir einen Tisch im Arcotel Wimberger bestellen wollten, aber leider schon seit drei Monaten ausverkauft. Da wir Livemusikliebhaber sind (mein Mann Wolfgang im speziellen - er hat über hundert zum Teil uralte überspielte CD-Aufnahmen von Blues)waren wir traurig, aber irgendwann wird es uns schon gelingen dich zu hören und auch unsere joungstes (9jährige Tochter) wo unterzubringen. Zoals je wel zult hebben begrepen hebben mijn zoon, Romke en ik volop genoten van jouw optreden op 21 april in het Drenthse Amen. Speciaal om jou te kunnen zien spelen hebben wij de reis gemaakt van Zaandam naar Amen.
Daar hebben wij geen enkele minuut spijt van gehad. Al was het alleen maar om de lokatie waar jij optrad. Geweldig ronduit gezegd!
Natuurlijk kwamen wij om jou solo de blues horen te spelen. Dat is aan jou dus wel toevertrouwd. Met veel humor, fantastisch gitaarspel en eveneens zang kreeg je het publiek in beweging.
Dat Romke ook nog even met jou op het podium mocht staan was helemaal super, zodat ik als trotse vader en liefhebber van jouw muziek een foto van jullie tweetjes kon maken.

Toen ik zaterdagnacht om 'n uur of één bij De Roef in Enschede naar buiten liep had ik echt zo iets van "dit had de hele nacht nog mogen duren".
Lekkere muziek, 'n drankje, wat bijbabbelen met vrienden. Heerlijk.
Tuurlijk was de hoofdrol voor jou weggelegd, maar wij als koor deden het vond ik ook niet onleuk. Ik hoop dat jij er net zo van genoten hebt als ik.

Hallo Hans!
Ich musste dir jetzt unbedingt einmal schreiben, denn deine Musik spielt eine entscheidende Rolle
in meiner Blues- Collection. Ich habe die letzten 19 Jahre meines Lebens in der Baumeistergasse
in Wien gelebt, wodurch es mir auch möglich war deine Konzerte im Metropol zu besuchen. Jetzt
haben mich meine Lebensumstände jedoch nach ERFURT gebracht, und außer deinen CD` s ist
leider nichts mehr von diesem "groovy+lazy"- Hans Theessink- feeling in meinem Leben übriggeblieben.
Drum hät ich ne ganz große bitte: Wenn es dir mal möglich ist komm doch nach Erfurt! Es ist auch wirklich ne
schöne Stadt, mit einer ziemlich ausgeprägten Musikszene. Am 15. Mai zum Beispiel gibts wieder ein Erfurter
Honky- Tonk wo regionale Bluesmusiker mit ihren Bands aufwarten.( Findet zweimal im Jahr statt)
Der einzige der fehlt bist du, denn da ich selbst auch ein bißchen Gitarre spiele bewundere ich deine Fähigkeiten
und dein unglaubliches Gefühl für den Delta- Blues Sound! Ich war immer der Meinung das Europäer
diesen Sound nie hinkriegen würden- Bis ich dich mit "Blue Groove" im Wiener Metropol entdeckt habe.
Vielen Dank für eure Musik und das ihr uns an euren besonderen Fähigkeiten teilhaben lässt!( Mein Paps
is zum Beispiel ein besonderer Fan von Jon, weil er selbst Jahre lang Tuba gespielt hat bei der
Militärgarde) Vielleicht hab ich das Glück und kann euch ja irgendwann wieder mal Live erleben.
Ansonsten wünsch ich euch allen und besonders dir weiterhin alles Gute, und bitte veröffentlicht noch ein paar CD`s
damit ich meine Hans Theessink Sammlung ausweiten kann!
