On May 7th Amadeus - the austrian music awards event - took place. With "BANJOMAN" we were one of 5 nominees in the catagory Jazz, Blues, Folk. (quite a stretched category one would think - it probably reflects the way these musical categories are treated by the austrian radio/tv, where these music forms are more or less non existent on playlists). We didn't win this time but I was really happy that Joe Zawinul wan the Jazz- Blues-Folk Amadeus. One can only have big respect for Joe; he more or less introduced the world to the Sus-chord and at 70 he still loves to experiment and still makes very vibrant music. When I gratulated him he said:"We're all winners".

| Holland Tour - April 2003

On Easter Sunday Milica and I drove to Holland for a short tour. The journey was overshadowed by sad news - when we were well on our way my sister called me to let me know that my mother had died while in church for the Easter sermon. I had talked to my mother on the phone the night before.... whole story
