On popular demand and with the support of our friends Pat & Marcus Meier, the BRIDGES album is now also available on 180 gram vinyl. 

We’ve remastered the album and we think we’ve even managed to improve the already excellent sound of the original SACD!!

The vinyl version of BRIDGES really captures the warm sound of the old church in Tuscany and gives the recording an extra dimension.

Greetings from Florida, where we’re spending a wonderful time visiting our friends Claus & Jilly. Hans played at the Broward Folk Festival (+ sessions with our old friend Rod McDonald). Hans did a session with Michael Stock for WLRN in Miami. We also visited with Rudi Dolezal from DORO Productions and Arlo and Jackie Guthrie at their new house on the Indian River (watching the dolphins and pelicans).

The Legendary Blues Cruise was a real experience: 7 days of fantastic Blues Music surrounded by a star studded cast of performers and 2500 international blues fans. Hans was  the only non American artist booked for concerts and workshops. Hans & Terry were popular with the crowd and we quickly ran out of our duo VISIONS CD’s.  The Blues Cruise was also a great oportunity to hear musical colleagues and get to know each other at informal jam sessions.

After the Blues Cruise we went on to Mustique where Hans was invited to play at the 15th edition of the Mustique Blues Festival. A wonderful event and in the caribbean climate we often pittied  our friends in Europe that had to endure lots of snow and very cold weather.

2009 was as good and busy as ever with lots of great concerts and festivals and again we like to thank you all for your support.  Some musical friends invited me to join them on their albums and some companies selected my music for their compilations:

*„Music for a Nuclear-Free Future / Volume One“ is now finally also online and you can download songs and support the Nuclear-Free Future Movement.

In December  2009 we played in Israel for the first time at the Jacob’s Ladder Festival. We had a fantastic time; played music, played tourists and took lots of photos – have a look:

Blessing Ngo Nkomo: Mbube and Gospel from Southern Africa (ARC)

Hans does a guest spot on Hans Theessink band member Blessing Ngo’s solo album “Mbube and Gospel from Southern Africa”. Hans plays guitar and harmonica on the song “Isililo sentandane“ - a beautiful song that Blessings wrote for his diseased parents.
