During his American tour in October Hans signed a publishing deal with with
Jack Clement in Nashville (Jack has been in music "for ever" and was
involved in musical history in "Sun Studios" in Memphis in the fifties). Hans and Jack met last year in Memphis and "clicked" immediately (they both have their birthday on April 5th!). The first result of their cooperation: Country star Charley Pride covered Hans' song "Ready For The Ride" for his upcoming album. Earlier this year singer extraordinaire Terry Evans recorded Hans' song "Where The Southern Crosses The Dog" for his "Mississippi Magic" album. While in the US, Hans also met with Arlo Guthrie to work on the "Tribute to Derroll Adams" cd-project. This cd has been in the making for quite a while; we hope to launch the cd - coinciding with a concert - at the Tønder Festival in Denmark in August 2002. "Banjoman" Derroll Adams was a big influence on Hans and many other musicmakers. For the cd we've gathered several of Derroll's friends to sing his songs (Hans, Arlo, Donovan, Ramblin' Jack Elliott, Ralph McTell, Dolly Parton, Barney McKenna, John Sheahan, Youra Marcus, Billy Connolly, Wizz Jones, Allan Taylor, Happy Traum a.o.)
