April, 6th: After a view attempts the webteam (Joachim & Ulli) is able to post news for you from over here. Not too big files (videos, audiofiles and more pics will follow next week), but there should be some updates about the recordings all week long.
After having brunch at 1 p.m. the band started the recording session and recorded three new songs ("Behind The Sun", "Believe The Devil Took Her Hand", "Brand New Dawn"). The sessions lasted till 2 a.m. in the morning! At about 6 p.m. there was a short, but heavy rainshower which caused a beautiful rainbow all over the valley and the setting sun painted the surrounding hills in beautiful red colors.

April, 5th was Hans' 55th birthday and of course, like it should be on birthdays, there was brilliant weather with lots of sun. After the first windy days we enjoyed the sun a lot.
After our daily recording sessions we were invited to a "killer-bee" birthday-dinner by Pat and Marcus to the "La Pievanella".

After a string of successful shows including a sold out show in the Orpheum in Vienna the Hans Theessink Band is getting ready for a recording session in an old church in Tuscany, Italy. On his first visit to this church at Monte Antico some years ago, Hans noticed the great acoustics of the place and the plan was born to record in this inspiring environment some day. When Hans talked about this idea with his friends and Monte Antico owners Pat & Marcus, they were immediately interested and invited him. Pat & Marcus are also looking after the whole crew at their wonderful Villa "La Pievanella"!
Hans has written a lot of new material for this new Hans Theessink Band album and they're loading up their instruments and state of the art recording gear to work for a couple of weeks in these wonderful surroundings and enjoy Tuscany spring at the same time.

We hope to post some news here starting on April 6th.
